What is "prescribed fire," and how can it help save California from the worst impacts of fire season and climate change? Fire official Lenya Quinn-Davidson drops by this week to tell us all about it.
Lenya Quinn-Davidson is a fire adviser with the University of California Cooperative Extension and director of the Northern California Prescribed Fire Council.
I think it’s really important for Californians in general to build comfort with fire–to build a relationship with it, to get out and see what it actually looks like on the ground. That’s a big part of the work that I do.
